Military families are unbelievable. I, myself, was an Air Force brat who traveled the world and moved every few years, but times now are different. We are in our tenth year of war, and there is no conceivable end in sight. This is a truly trying time in the military and at no time in recent history have our military families had to give so much. One year home and one year deployed has become the standard in the military. Families have become accustomed to dad or mom not being around during holidays and birthdays...
I believe in life. I believe in treasuring it as a mystery that will never be fully understood, as a sanctity that should never be destroyed, as an invitation to experience now what can only be remembered tomorrow. I believe in its indivisibility, in the intimate connection between the newest bud of spring and the flicker in the eye of a patient near death, between the athlete in his prime and the quadriplegic vet...
I believe in Fitness and everything about it. Nutrition and exercise to me are the biggest part of fitness. Personally, I hit the gym about 5-6 times a week and have a very balanced diet. Yeah, yeah I know, you think I am seriously messed up in the head and have become a workout junky. Maybe you are right, but this is what I strongly believe in. I believe that fitness can benefit anybody and is extremely important. Not only does it transform the body; it transforms your mind and gives you confidence in life. Here is why...
I believe in fitness and everything associated with it. If there is one you should know about me, I am a workout junky. Ever since I was nine years old I have been involved with many variation of fitness. My fitness experience has revolved around Taekwondo, crossfit, and bodybuilding. Growing up in my middle school and high school years I have had the privilege of training with a top tier Olympic Athlete (two - time gold medalist) in relation to Taekwondo. From a young age I was taught to endure agonizing physical and mental pain, for fitness is not just a physical attribute but a psychological trait as well. Furthermore, fitness possess the ability to alter one's physical and mental state, thus providing one with a greater self - confidence. Having a healthy lifestyle not only correlates to exercise but to one’s nutrition. The quantity and quality of food that one eats can greatly dictate the physical and mental state of an individual. It takes discipline and self - control to decide what I eat, for my metabolism and health is directly correlated to food I ingest. My current nutrition plan consist of a healthy balance between proteins, carbs, greens, and fats. Foremost, my figure has always been an important attribute in my life, in which a smart and healthy nutrition plan will ensure that I keep my body looking the way I want it to. Keeping a consistent nutrition plan that enables a healthy lifestyle for many years requires self - discipline, which is something that vastly correlates to fitness in general. Now, the other part of fitness is training (exercise). I refer to exercise as the fun part of fitness. I absolutely love “pumping iron” in relation to bodybuilding or feeling an intense cardio fatigue when sparring in Taekwondo. Training in the gym is a battle between oneself, for it is entirely up to me to see how hard I am willing to push myself. I believe that one should be nervous before a workout or training session, for that uneasiness that arises in my stomach is an indicator that I am doing it right. Personally, I enjoy the burn and pain that comes with training. It is something that I have grown accustom to as my training has progressed. I do not know why I enjoy this pain, for pain is relatively a indicator that something malicious or bad is occurring; however, this is opposite when it comes to training. For the intense pain that emerges into my muscles is a strong signal for growth and progression. I believe in a healthy lifestyle that combines the workings of fitness and nutrition. Fitness can transform the body and mind into something stronger than it was before. Producing a considerable amount of confidence and discipline into people's lives. Characteristics such as discipline and self - control are prominent features. Features that should be sought out by anyone. Fitness has the influence to change people's lives for the better, by inspiring dedication and discipline.
